Child Sexual Abuse

The Catholic Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, Boy Scouts of America, and other organizations may have failed to protect children from abuse. Some abuse survivors may be able to pursue legal action.

New York Child Sexual Abuse Lawsuit

New York Classaction.com attorneys are helping victims of child sexual abuse seek justice and compensation from institutions that failed to protect them; including churches, summer camps, schools, religious organizations, and youth recreation organizations like the Boy Scouts of America.

New York state took a big step forward for the rights of victims of child sexual abuse when it changed its statute of limitations law in August 2019. No longer will victims be age-limited out of their right to pursue justice.

Much like the rest of the country, New York has been rocked by a wave of revelations about decades of child sexual abuse, sometimes on a mass scale, committed on the premises of – or while under the care of – many important and respected civic, religious, scholastic, and recreational organizations and institutions. Thousands of innocent children had their lives destroyed because the institutions they and their parents trusted to keep them safe failed to do so.

Nothing could ever undo that wrong. But with the passage of this bill, all victims now at least have the chance to pursue some measure of justice, and to seek compensation for the pain and medical expenses they’ve incurred.

How Can I Pursue Justice?

If you or a loved one suffered child sexual abuse on the premises of – or while under the responsibility of – a religious organization, school, summer camp, youth recreation program, or other institution, you may be able to pursue a legal claim for what could be significant compensation.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to a qualified and experienced attorney to talk about your options.
